Get Ready To Submit Your Project

Tip #1 -> Read the questions you will have to answer when submitting your project

  • Briefly describe your project in a few lines (4-5)

Your short description should answer the following questions, in order or not: "Who? - "What?" - "What is the objective?" - "How?" - "When?".

  • How much money ($) do you want to get for your project?

You can of course request an amount less than the maximum amounts for the types of projects ($1500/personal project & $20,000/community project).

  • What will the cash amount ($) you are requesting be used for?

You can outline your biggest expenses and explain why they are important to your project.

  • Who do you plan to do your project with?

Name the people who will be involved in your project and describe very briefly how you think they will help you.

  • List the obstacles or challenges you will face in completing your project.

What might be more difficult? What are you a little nervous about?

  • What is the timeline for your project?

Indicate here when the project will start, how long it will take and when you think it will be finished.

  • Tell me about yourself, who you are, what you do, your motivations and passions, the things you've already done that make you proud!

Don't hesitate to make some links with your project.

  • How did you get the idea for your project?

Had you thought of this idea in the past? What prompted you to submit your project to the "Make it happen" program?

  • What impact do you think your project will have?

How will your project affect your life and/or the life of your community? What change do you want to bring about with your project?

  • Why is this project important to you?

Refer to the problem or need that your project wishes to address.

You will also need to provide your personal contact information (email and phone) as well as the contact information of the person 22 years of age or older who supports your project (email and phone).

Tip #2 -> Take a few notes for each question and then talk to the 21+ supporter who is endorsing your project

Read through the questions one by one and identify some of the answers that should be there as well as some of the questions you have for each. Take this moment to clarify what you understand and what you are hesitating about.

After completing this short exercise, sit down with the 21+ person who is endorsing your project and discuss together, question by question, what you imagine the answer to be. Make sure you take notes so that you don't forget anything when it comes time to fill out the questionnaire on the website.

You can even prepare the answers to the questions in advance and then copy and paste them into the website form! The person who is 21 years old or older and who supports your project can of course help you formulate your answers and fill out the questionnaire.
